The transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney has announced plans to leave the United States and move to Great Britain.
In an interview with Pink News, Mulvaney said he is planning to permanently relocate to London.
“I’m trying to move here permanent,” he said ahead of his role in the production We Aren’t Kids Anymore at London’s Savoy Theatre.
“There’s something about being here that makes me feel like people have been so kind.”
“The theatre culture is amazing, and Percy Pigs are my favourite,” he continued. “So honestly, that makes the move worth it.”

Yet Britain may not be as welcoming for Mulvaney, who identifies as a woman, believes.
Just last week, the UK Supreme Court ruled that the term “woman” only refers to a biological female and does not include transgender women who have undergone a sex reassignment surgery.

Over the weekend, protests broke out in London where trans activists called for the hanging of Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling and defaced statues of the likes of Nelson Mandela and Benjamin Disraeli.
The 28-year-old gained widespread attention in 2023 after partnering with Bud Light for a marketing campaign.
The collaboration sparked a major backlash among conservatives, leading to a nationwide boycott that severely impacted Bud Light’s sales and brand image.
At the time of the controversy, Mulvaney flew to Peru for an extended trip in order to “feel safe” from the blowback back in his home country.
“It’s a little sad that I had to leave my country to feel safe, but that will get better eventually,” he said at the time.
Mulvaney is far from the only celebrity to leave the U.S. during the Trump administration.
The disgraced television host Ellen DeGeneres and comedienne Rosie O’Donnell have also moved to the U.K. and Ireland, respectively.
Both women cited Trump’s return to power as a deciding factor in their decision.
